Switching to SSL

I just switched whole website to https using Really Simple SSL plug-in. Do I need to perform additional step recommended in many online tutorials like changing .htaccess file, adding a code line to wp-config.php? What about The Brand theme link coding? Is it absolute HTTP links or relative? It looks like the switched went well, but I need to make sure the code will work well before I continue working on the payment integration.
