Upload file folder

Hi
I have a custom upload file folder that I set on general wp-config.
When I use your theme, the upload folder set to the default wordpress path (wp-config/uploads) that gives me a 404-not found to all my images.
What kind of problem is this? Is there a way to correct it? Even on a child theme that I’m using?
