I tested with other themes to make sure it was my theme and not my host. Other Themes run much faster. Preschool Theme is running about 3x slower. I tried disabling plugins like woocommerce that I don’t run, running W3 Total Cache, but nothing helped completely.
I ran GTMetrix @ gtmetrix.com and this is what I got.
For some reason every page is getting 36.jpg from your site taking over 2sec to load.
http://preschool.jwsuperthemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/36.jpgThat is an 8.4mb file. I tested 3 pages on my site and they all made this call for some reason. I included a screen shot from running http://genesisr.com/classes-offered and a capture of the file in question. The weird thing is I am not using that image anywhere on my site. Is that by design or a mistake in code or something I did? Is this happening to all Preschool theme users? I really like your theme, I just don’t know if others are experiencing these really slow load times. I really need to fix this before going live.
Thanks for your time.Attachments:

OK, I took out several widgets and at least one must have been pointing to that file, but I found more links with further testing. I don’t believe these impact performance much, but why would the Theme point outside the host for simple images like these? I get fontawesome and google etc, but these are simple images.
These are from running GTMetrix.com

http://preschool.jwsuperthemes.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/border-top-2.png?id=2863I included a picture of one of the links and two others that show up when loading the homepage. Is this something I have done wrong? I have not messed with any code for the header. I did replace bg-header.jpg with a transparent image to have a flat top menu, but that is all, but I didn’t mess with any code if that helps.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the tip.
The issue was/is not matter of compression. It was an 8mb image on your site. It was pointing to preschool.jwsuperthemes.com. I don’t have access to compress images on your site. My question is why would my site / demo data be pointing files to preschool.jwsuperthemes?
